Life
I have 2 beautiful kids Erin and (Dakota) DJ. Erin is 22 and gave me, so far, 2 gorgious grandbabies Ali who is 5 and Mari who is 5 months. I lost everything in Katrina. I say that to say that I retired from Army and settled in Bay St. Louis, Ms but now I am in Gulf Shores, Al. I am however looking to relocate.
Military
I spent the 1st 3 years as a 64C (now 88M). Then came the real deal, I spent 19 years in the US Army Recruiting Command (USAREC). First, as a recruiter in Gretna Recruiting station, New Orleans DRC (that's old school for Recruiting Bn) for 3 years. Then onto Nashville DRC and Bowling Green Recruiting Station for almost 5 years. ewburgh Bn in NYC MEPS the Newark Meps. Onto the Bn as assistant Ops until the Bn deactivated in 1992. From there I moved onto, what I thought was a get oppurtunity, good old HQS USAREC Ft Know, Ky. I loved the job and helping my fellow recruiters but talk about politics!!!!!!!! Then onto Ft Jackson Reception Sta as a USAREC Liaison in 1996. That my friend was the MOST rewarding job of all. Why you might ask, well I'll tell ya. I was able to right a whole lot of wrongs done to these kids (unfortunitly a "few" BAD Apples) and to be fair, get rid of those kids that lied, cheated and then some to get in the Army. These kids had no place in our Army or military! Then came the big day Dec 1, 1999, I retired. Then life began again!
